Dr. Bryan Cooper Eastern Headache & Spine
 Dr. Gibbs is my best
friend at East Carolina Neurology. He was diagnosed and we have all prayed and supported him. We are happy to
see him back to "normal life". He wants to give back to those less fortunate than him in their disease process.
Forming the Beau's Buddies Cancer Fund is a way for us to help those in the hour of their need.

I am so blessed and excited for the opportunity to be involved
with Beau's Buddies. I learned first hand of the struggles which cancer patients face everyday during my many inpatient hospitalizations
at Pitt County Memorial and Duke Hospitals. I fought alongside many fellow cancer patients, experiencing both joy and sadness.
I knew that, afforded the opportunity, I wanted to help others affected by cancer. Beau's Buddies respresents a
wonderful opportunity to honor and help other cancer patients and their families. I look forward to raising awareness as well
as funds for those touched by cancer in eastern NC. Join us as we work together to make a difference
in our community.

From the first day that Dr. Gibbs talked
to me about his ideas I knew this was going to be a wonderful opportunity to help others. He was so sincere about wanting
to help cancer patients and their families. Dr. Gibbs is a very caring man with a big heart. I felt very fortunate
he asked me to be a part of this group.
I was blessed to have known Beau Stanley for a little over a year.
Beau was diagnosed the week before his father, Parham, was to begin working with me at David G. Vaughn Construction. I quickly
grew to love the Stanley family and began to watch their struggle as I sat helpless on the sidelines. I wanted to do
something so bad, I just didn't know what to do except pray. Beau Stanley was only on this earth for a short period
of time but during that time he taught us so much about love, family, courage and strength. God is
still using Beau today to help make this world a little better.
Beau's Buddies Cancer Fund was started because
there are people who want to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. I
am truly blessed to be a part of Beau's Buddies.

 My father was diagnosed
with prostate cancer in 1990 and underwent a year of surgery and treatments before his doctors were confident he was clear.
He still did quarterly checkups and in 1996 his PSA jumped. He has tried all of the available treatment options since
then and had success with each treatment. His cancer was never eliminated, it just slowed the growth. However,
he is now out of treatment options and his health has declined considerable in the last year.
Cancer is as difficult for the families as it is for the patient.
It is very frustrating to watch the health of a family member decline and not be able to help. Therefore, I am hoping
that we can help the lives of some cancer patient families with Beau's Buddies Cancer Fund Dinner/Golf Tournament.

 I was personally touched
by my friend Dr. Gibbs, and his situation dealing with cancer. His situation reminded me of my friends/family that have
dealt with cancer and how fragile life can be. My wife also lost her 9 year old cousin 10 years ago to cancer, his name
was Thomas Creech (Tarboro, NC). Thomas's situation had a huge impact on our lives, he was a very special boy.
After talking with Dr. Gibbs
at lunch a few months ago we decided we wanted to do something great here in Pitt County to help the families dealing with
cancer. That is when we hatched the idea of the golf tournament that has now grown to involve many other great people.
It was fate that brought Dr. Gibbs in touch with the Stanley family and to Beau. Now Beau's Buddies are
ready to make this thing a huge success and raise a lot of money for people in need.
Parham & Jennifer Stanley Project Manager, David G. Vaughn Construction Respiratory Therapist, Pitt County Memoria Hospital We are very grateful to have been
asked to be on the board of Beau's Buddies Cancer Fund and very honored that it is named in memory of our
son Beau. David Vaughn and Debbie Hudson were great support for us and continue to be today. We are very
grateful to them and for everyone in the community and our families for getting us through the most difficult time in our
life. We hope that by being on this board we can help other families and give back to the community that gave so much
to us in our time of need.
We are very blessed to have met Dr. Gibbs and hope that we can help him fulfill
his dream of helping other families stuggling with cancer. We know that our sweet boy will never be forgotten and that
he is looking down from Heaven watching over all of us, and is excited about this opportunity that we have been given.

David Vaughn contacted me about an opportunity
to serve on the board of Beau's Buddies, an organization aimed at making an impact in the lives of cancer patients, survivors,
and families here in Pitt County and Eastern NC. David Vaughn is a man who I tremendously respect - he understands
the generosity factor of giving your time, talent, and treasure to make a difference in the lives of others.
Hearing David tell me about Beau Stanley's battle with cancer the past year and the vision of Beau's Buddies to
make a difference in the lives of cancer victims, I wanted to be a part of positively impacting citizens of Pitt County
who may be struggling with cancer. When your heart has been touched, it is easy to give a hand. I am honored to
be a part of Beau's Buddies and look forward to serving Pitt County in this manner.

In 2003, I lost my father to lung cancer.
Since then, I have avoided remembering the cold hospitals, the anxiety of awaiting test results, and the constant senses of
loss and sadness. Over the summer, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. John Gibbs and have been inspired by his sincere dedication
to improving the lives of cancer patients in Eastern North Carolina. It is an honor to serve on a board named for such a special
child and an honor to work with dedicated professionals making a difference for families dealing with this disease.

It was an honor to be asked to be on the Board of Beau's Buddies Cancer
Fund. There is nothing better than working with GREAT people for a GREAT cause. This is truly a humbling experience.
Beau's father, Parham and I work together. After sitting on the outside looking in, watching Beau's whole experience,
my heart does not belong anywhere else but on this board!
